The term ‘ergonomics’ is from the Greek ‘ergo’ meaning work and ‘nomos’, natural law.
Taking an ergonomic approach enables you and your employees to work well, using equipment that enhances the ability to work effectively and economically, without adverse effects on health.
NISSLER ERGONOMICS
Make your workspace work for you
WORKING WITH US
We enhance employee wellbeing and economic health
Good ergonomics gives you an excellent return on your investment.
They can help to prevent sickness absence, support employees returning to work after illness or injury and enable people living with health conditions and disabilities to manage their health at work.
This in turn boosts the retention of valuable employees, creating a ‘virtuous circle’ linked to your use of our services.
This prompted one leading ergonomic equipment provider to state that ‘Good Ergonomics Should Cost You Nothing’.
We are expert in the provision of ergonomic assessments
Nissler Ergonomics provide a range of workstation and workplace (non-office-based work) assessments to support individuals and companies to optimise their workspaces and working practices.
Physiotherapists understand the nature and impact of health conditions and specialist physiotherapists in Occupational Health understand the effects of work tasks and processes on individuals. Nissler Ergonomics is expert in both of these areas.
As experts in healthcare, we are more aware of individual health needs and how these may progress - so we can help you and your employees to navigate any issues with practical, cost-effective, bespoke solutions.
We also have in-depth knowledge of the ergonomic equipment used in workplaces, and can match the available equipment to your needs. We regularly work with all sizes of business, whether large organisations, SMEs or micro businesses.
So when working with us you can relax, as we have the competencies and experience needed to help individuals and to optimise your workplace, whether in one specific location or more than one place, such as in hybrid or multi-site working.
Our services help you to ensure compliance with your legal obligations
These requirements, related to both employers and to employees, are set out in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Equality Act 2010.
Poor working postures and practices can be associated with the development of musculoskeletal disorders, stress, and associated anxiety and depression. The Health and Safety Executive’s latest statistics state that 7.1 million working days were lost in the UK in 2024-25 due to work-related musculoskeletal disorders alone.
We care about your employees and when working with us you receive added value by our advice on positioning and use of the body, for instance to prevent unhelpful repetitive movements or poor technique.
Employers, employees and the self-employed are supported by having our highly competent assessments carried out and therefore 'getting it right first time', whatever the work setting.
ERGONOMIC ASSESSMENTS
Our assessments are flexible and competitively priced
We provide workstation, workplace (non-office based work) and vehicle/driver assessments as well as other preventative assessments.
We work with you to achieve your business goals and offer a flexible approach - whether that’s providing a quick one-off assessment for someone with an urgent issue, seeing multiple employees, or creating packages to suit your business needs.
It is not necessary to have a contract with us, although we welcome the insight that this gives us to most effectively contribute to your workplace over time.
Our process is agile, simple and effective
We operate a no-fuss, streamlined process for fast results.
Once we have agreed your needs and payment has been made, appointments are made as soon as mutually convenient so that issues can be prevented or improved as soon as possible.
We then see people onsite at the corporate office, at the employee’s home office, or online.
By the end of the assessment they will have had bespoke postural advice and their current workspace and working practices will have been optimised as far as possible.
We will also have an outline plan for any equipment and other adjustments needed.
As physiotherapists we can also signpost to further advice, as well as movement, exercise and activity where this is appropriate.
We are happy to liaise with managers, facilities, procurement or other staff on or after the day, as needed.
We find that our process works well - from the largest organisation to the smallest home office, whether you are well-established or a start-up.
After the assessment
If you require a report, these are provided in a timely way and include full, specific recommendations for any equipment needed.
Follow-up appointments are advised to ensure the correct set-up and best use of any new equipment, and we highly recommend this option.
